We’ve got your ‘Small Talk’ right here

NORTH COUNTY — Have you been looking for Jean Gillette’s Small Talk column in the North County Times, but not finding it? Look no more.
In November, when the Times did away with its Sunday Living section, it did away with space for the Small Talk column as well. But you can still find Small Talk right here in The Vista News and San Marcos News every week.
“I am delighted to have such a terrific and widespread North County venue where I can share Small Talk with my friends and fans,” Gillette said. “In 1992, I began ‘Small Talk’ to relate the triumphs and trials of motherhood and life. I found there were many folks out there who were sharing my sense of humor and occasional pain, or remembered fondly going through it themselves.
“Nothing gives me greater joy than to write something that the reader identifies with, that makes them laugh with me and sometimes cry with me. I love every minute of it. Having a stranger stop me in the supermarket and compliment a column is better than any drug that will ever be invented. My readers have been very gracious.”
So spread the word. Jean Gillette and her ‘Small Talk’ are right at your fingertips everywhere The Coast News, San Marcos News, Vista News or Rancho Santa Fe News paper is available.
Some distribution sites include: Harvest Ranch markets, Stater Bros. and Ralph’s markets, Starbucks, local restaurants, Kaiser Permanente, banks, bus stops, Tip Top Market, Car Country Carlsbad, Community Centers, car washes, convenience stores, doughnut shops, dry cleaners and more. For information on where to find your Coast News Group paper, call (760) 436-9737.
