RoseAngelica Vogel, a senior majoring in human development at Cal State San Marcos, was recently named one of 23 California State University students to receive the 2009/2010 William R. Hearst/CSU Trustees’ Award for Outstanding Achievement. The award provides $3,000 scholarships to students who have demonstrated financial need, experienced personal hardships and have attributes of merit including superior academic performance, exemplary community service, and significant personal achievements.
“This award couldn’t have come at a better time,” Vogel said. “It will allow me to focus on my studies and concentrate on maintaining my good grades so that I may graduate.” Courtesy photo
