ENCINITAS — A new interactive Web site that promotes the best of the community to residents and the rest of the world is now online at www.encinitaslive.com.
In addition to discovering what’s going on around town via the daily calendar feature, visitors can send an electronic postcard from one of the five communities in the city.
Encinitaslive.com was created to promote the arts and community scene to Encinitas residents while extending the city’s cultural tourism outreach to San Diego and beyond.
With a few quick clicks, a gent in Cardiff, Wales, can find out about a happening in Cardiff, California.
The Web site project was funded by the Encinitas City Council and National Endowment for the Arts.
The design was created
by Lyon and Associates,
Fred Caldwell and Nobis Interactive.
The site offers a live look at Encinitas through daily and monthly calendars of events, current weather conditions and profiles on the five communities, Encinitas artists and community organizations.
To interact with the site, complete an online form.
To add an event listing, an artist profile, or an organization profile. Just click, insert information and images and send.
After being reviewed by city staff, submittals are uploaded to the Web site.
And just a hint, check out the Web site at night.
