SOLANA BEACH — Effective July 1, the city of Solana Beach, in cooperation with the Regional Solid Waste Association, will be switching household hazardous waste disposal program service providers.
On July 1, PSC Industrial Services will take over the city’s HHW disposal program from Clean Harbors. The costs for Solana Beach users will remain the same. It is free if taken directly to the permanent facilities in Vista, Poway or Escondido, and a $10 co-pay for home pick-up services. Resident’s over the age of 65 or homebound will receive free home pick-up services. HHW includes electronic waste, batteries and SHARPs disposal.
