Walking with the birds

Bird lovers visit Carlsbad’s Batiquitos Lagoon, taking part in the Bird Walk along the North Shore Trail, beginning at the Nature Center. 

They were rewarded with sights of migratory waterfowl, shorebirds and upland birds. Throughout the year birdwatchers can see more than 180 different species of birds at the lagoon. Photos by Daniel Knighton
