COAST CITIES — Three convenience stores were robbed in Vista and Escondido early Wednesday morning within about 45 minutes of each other, according to a report from the San Diego Union-Tribune.
The first robbery was reported about 2:50 a.m. in Vista where a man with a gun robbed the Ampm mini-mart on Sycamore Avenue off state Route 78, authorities said.
About 25 minutes later a gunman entered the 7-Eleven on East Mission Avenue near Broadway in Escondido where he attacked the clerk with the weapon, according to Escondido police.
About ten minutes later a man robbed a 7-Eleven on south Escondido Boulevard.
The robber in the last two incidents was described as Latino, about 25 years old and wearing a white mask over his face, Escondido police said.
Detectives are investigating to see if all three robberies were linked.
