About 25 minutes later a gunman entered the 7-Eleven on East Mission Avenue near Broadway in Escondido where he attacked the clerk with the weapon, according to Escondido police.
About ten minutes later a man robbed a 7-Eleven on south Escondido Boulevard.
The robber in the last two incidents was described as Latino, about 25 years old and wearing a white mask over his face, Escondido police said.
