UTC sets the holidays to live music


COAST CITIES — It’s the most wonderful time of the year, and the just-opened Seasons 52 in the University Town Center mall, 4505 La Jolla Village Drive, Suite C-1, features holiday entertainment at its piano bar.Nightly sets can be heard from 5 to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 5:30 to 10:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday. Sets will also be performed from noon to 5 p.m. Thursday through Sunday.

Performing artists will include:

— Dec. 28: Dan Marsey and Michael Sanchez

— Dec. 29: Dan Marsey and Doug Stephens

— Dec. 30 and Dec. 31: Doug Stephens (from 5 to 10 p.m. on New Year’s Eve)

Shaun Canon is an Emmy nominee, former “American Idol” contestant and currently endorsed by Drum Corp International to bring his 2013 “We Are Music” Tour to schools.

Doug Stephens, pianist, vocalist, composer and arranger, has operated a recording studio and performed around San Diego.

Native San Diegan, Michael Sanchez, will be performing his take on his favorite hits. He is currently a music education student at San Diego State University and plans to share his talents in the future by teaching high school choir.

Ronnie Jayne is a singer, keyboardist/pianist and entertainer playing old standards to jazz to big band to Broadway hits.

Pianist Michael Masci has performed in multiple venues around the world. Singer, songwriter and producer Kawan DeBose brought his soul-pop style to the venue in early December.
