Snores ‘n S’mores brings families together for a night of tent-pitching, marshmallow roasting and outdoor movie watching, all in the comfort of a neighborhood park. The event runs from 5 p.m. Aug. 9 to 9 a.m. Aug. 10, and is $25 per person (free for ages 3 and under). Attendees register in advance by Aug. 8. Visit carlsbadconnect.org under special events to register or call (760) 602-7510.

Set up your tent on the field and enjoy a night that includes a feast and movie-themed games like tic-tac-throw, Don’t Wake the Librarian, bungee run, the scare-o-meter and more. The evening continues with s’mores, popcorn and the outdoor movie under the stars.

After the festivities, attendees will retire to their personal tents for “lights out” at 10:30 p.m. In the morning, families can continue their camping experience with an early morning hike.

“Snores ‘n S’mores is a great way for families to experience camping in an easy, safe way,” Special Events Supervisor Rachael Shay said, adding that its themed activities “make it a fun event for the most experienced campers.”
