Time again for girls’ hoops

RANCHO SANTA FE — Girl’s Recreational Basketball, known at the Girl’s Jr. Dunkers season, kicks off with assessments Feb. 17 through Feb. 20 at the Rancho Santa Fe Community Center.
Girls, ranging from first grade through sixth grade, can attend a one-hour tryout to see where their game has taken them in the off-season.
Attendance at the tryouts is required by all participants. If you cannot make the first week of assessments, there will be two makeup dates at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 23 and Feb. 24 at the Community Center. Following this, teams will be selected and practices will begin the week of March 9.
Players, coaches and sponsors are wanted. Visit rsfcc.org or call (858) 756-2461 to learn more or sign up. Other questions can be directed to Pete McArthur at pmcarthur@rsfcc.org. Late sign-ups can be done through Feb. 20.
