Temple offers Hebrew School

VISTA — Congregation B’nai Tikvah is offering a one-day a week Hebrew School on Tuesdays from 4:15 to 6:15 p.m.
“In response to the needs of our families, we recognize that children have busy schedules and that weekends should be left for precious family time,” Education Chair Wendy Oxenhorn said.
The program, led by Hebrew School Director Naomi Gabai-Fisher and Cantor Larry Kornit, incorporates hands-on activities that bring history and religion to life.
“Our students love coming to Hebrew School,” Gabai–Fisher said. “Through art, drama, Jewish cooking, historical accounts and holiday celebrations, we encourage kids to be proud of their Jewish heritage and to incorporate it into their daily lives. It is never too late to start a Jewish education as we teach children by educational levels, not age.”
Congregation B’nai Tikvah strives to bring Jews of all backgrounds and needs together. They are a full-service temple offering both Conservative and Reform services.
Families are welcome to try out the Hebrew School for a day. For more information, e-mail [email protected] or call (760) 941-9858. The temple serves all of North County and is centrally located on Melrose Avenue near I-78.
