Tell your story online

COAST CITIES — If you think you have a story worth telling, the People’s Post, an online digital media resource, is seeking San Diegans to tell their stories in three-to-five-minute video presentations.
The stories themselves create a permanent, retrievable, accessible legacy for San Diegans to learn from and enjoy, presenting anecdotes about where we came from, where we are today and what we envisions for our future.
Recording sessions will be held:
— 5:30 p.m. Nov. 2. San Diego County Library, San Marcos
2 Civic Center Drive, San Marcos
— 6:30 p.m. Nov. 17 at San Diego County Library, Solana Beach,
Earl Warren Middle School, 157 Stevens Ave., Solana Beach
Individuals interested in having their stories on video can schedule an appointment with a community videographer by calling the San Diego County Library at (858) 495-5037 or visiting The People’s Post online at www.thepeoplepost.org.
Storytellers will be given a time and place for the video session. They will be assisted by Media Arts Center San Diego, who will professionally shoot and edit the video at no cost to the individual. The story will then be posted on The People’s Post web site and participants receive a free DVD of the finished product. The site itself is managed by voiceofsandiego.org, an online, nonprofit organization dedicated to investigative journalism.
