From left, Bob Baker Subaru General Manager Kurt Anderson, Subaru Field Service Manager Daniel Page and Subaru Market Operations Manager Tim Murphy celebrate with Monte Vista High School Assistant Principal David Napoleon and local Automotive Youth Education Systems, or AYES, Auto Instructor Michael Fleming with the finalization of the donation of a car to the high school’s AYES program. In June of 2008 Bob Baker Subaru in El Cajon received a New 2009 Subaru Legacy sedan that had gotten slight body damaged in route to the dealership. During the claims process, Anderson found out that Subaru of America was going to scrap the entire car. Anderson contacted Subaru of America, who agreed to donate it the nearest AYES school, Monte Vista High School. Fleming was exuberant about having the car for the students to work on. It took a year of paperwork but approvals have been finalized and the car was delivered to the high school. Courtesy photo
