Summer art ready at auction prices

OCEANSIDE — Add to your collection with art at auction at the Oceanside Museum of Art, 704 Pier View Way, highlighting OMA’s annual fundraiser.Designed in conjunction with OMA’s Summer Soiree, the 2012 silent Art Auction presents 47 works by 42 artists reflecting the diversity of Southern California art and OMA’s exhibition philosophy. Many of these talented artists have a close association with OMA, having been featured in past or upcoming exhibitions. All proceeds from the Art Auction go towards supporting future exhibitions and education programs at Oceanside Museum of Art.

Featured artists in the art auction include Claire-Lise Matthey Anderegg, Charles Arnoldi, Larry Bell, Don Borthwick, Robert Boyd, Cathy Breslaw, Robin Bright, William Glen Crooks, Tony DeLap, Einar and Jamex de la Torre, Jeanne Dunn, Ned Evans, Peter Fay, David Fobes, Flavia Gilmore, Raul Guerrero, Carolyn Guild, Fred Holle, James Hubbell, Jay Johnson, Jeffery Laudenslager, William Leslie, Carol Lindemulder, James Lorigan, Jean Lowe, Robert Matheny, Kim MacConnel, Myles McGuiness, Allan Morrow, Robert Pendleton, Lee Peterson, Scott W. Prior, Allison Renshaw, Heidi Rufeh, Ellen Salk, Ernest Silva, Michael Summers, Fritzie Urquhart, Paul Weber and Jean Wells.

Bidding begins July 24 in the Gleason Gallery. To place a bid, register for a bid number at the front desk or call (760) 435-3721 after July 24. Bidding will close at 9 p.m. July 28 during the Summer Soiree. Phone bids will be accepted until 5 p.m. July 28.
