Solana Beach Library celebrates 10 years

SOLANA BEACH — Music, magic and marionettes were all part of the 10th anniversary celebration for the Solana Beach Library held from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. July 16 at the Stevens Avenue branch.
The free event, sponsored by Friends of the Solana Beach Library, also included refreshments and an open house. The day began with Puppets on Stage by Kathy Felker, a puppeteer and ventriloquist with characters such as Bandit the raccoon, Eggbert the egg and Whiskers the Siberian tiger that juggle, sing and dance.
Michael E. Johnson then presented his library magic show, a tribute to learning that entertains and educates.
The celebration ended with a concert by Peter and Tripp Sprague and Gunner Biggs.
