SNAP offers pit bull neuter clinic

CARLSBAD — Call for reservations now for the Nov. 17 special all-day Spay and Neuter Clinic for pit bulls (and mixes of that breed). The event is being offered to responsible pittie owners in North County as an incentive to stop the breeding and reproduction of the highest euthanized breed in San Diego County.Call (866) SPAY BUS (772-9287) for a reservation. The Neuter Scooter will be at 5751 Palmer Way, with check-in beginning at 7 a.m. There are no income qualifications and the event is for all pit bull owners in Carlsbad, Oceanside, Vista, San Marcos, Pendleton and Escondido.

The cost is $30. There is no extra charge for pregnant, in heat or cryptorchids dogs. Dogs will also receive a free nail trim, a free basic examination, free rabies vaccination (if needed), a free one-year license for dogs within San Diego County jurisdiction (if wanted) and free donuts and coffee for responsible pet owners.
