School to host fundraiser for student

VISTA — The week of May 11, Lambs of Faith in Vista will hold a Trike-a-thon to raise money for St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
“This is our third year holding this event, but this year we have a special connection,” Lambs of Faith Development Center Director Jennifer Morgan said. “One of our students, Gavin Ambrose, was diagnosed with a cancerous brain tumor last spring.”
The treatment young Gavin has undergone at St. Jude’s includes surgery and radiation. “Typically St Jude’s offers prizes, but this year we are forfeiting prizes so that the money raised can go further,” Morgan said.
The community can visit St. Jude’s Web site www.stjude.org to find numerous opportunities to help. Next week Gavin will go to St. Jude for follow up scans.
