San Diego Jewish Academy students earn AP scholar awards

NORTH COUNTY — Twenty-five students at San Diego Jewish Academy have earned Advanced Placement Scholar awards in recognition of exceptional achievement on AP exams.
The College Board recognizes several levels of achievement based on students’ performance on AP exams, taken in May 2008, after completing challenging college-level courses at their high schools. The AP exams are graded on a five-point scale and provide students with the opportunity to earn college credit while in high school.
Senior Shiri Bogomolny qualified for the National AP Scholar award by earning an average grade of four or higher on all AP Exams taken.
Ronit Hakakha, Meredith Kaplan, Alexa Katz, Zuri Michan, Eli Recht and Carli Wittgrove qualified for the AP Scholar with Distinction award by earning an average grade of at least 3.5 on all AP exams taken.
Ilan Bielas, William Bohannon, Haley Epstine, Aliza Grossman, Benjamin Schenk, Rose Sheela, Amy Shoemaker, and Harrison Smith qualified for the AP Scholar with Honor award by earning an average grade of at least 3.25 on all AP exams taken
Benjamin Adelman, Lokesh Bellam, Brenna Decker, Micah Frank, Jaclyn Gaylis, Benjamin Graubart, Rebecca Lipson, Gabrielle Maio, Rebecca Rudin, and Hunter Spiegel qualified for the AP Scholar award by completing three or more AP Exams with grades of three or higher.
