Rotary Club helps community

VISTA — The Vista Shadowridge Rotary Club recently gave the Camp Pendleton Armed Services YMCA a check for $4,548, which was raised from the club’s Grape Expectation fundraiser in 2008. The club also gave gift baskets before Christmas. eorge Brown spoke to the luncheon group of the multitude of programs offered to Marine’s families, including coping with life while their spouses are deployed, after school programs, stress and anger management classes and providing transportation for families. He stated that programs are free because of the generous grants from Rotary and other businesses and organizations. The club meets every Tuesday at noon at the Vista Shadowridge Country Club.
