Residential burglary suspects apprehended in Carlsbad

CARLSBAD — On Sept. 28 at about 1:48 p.m. Carlsbad police responded to a report of a residential burglary that had just occurred. A housekeeper who was inside of a residence located in the 2100 block of Corte Moral in Carlsbad called to report that two males, youthful in appearance, had cut a hole in the screen at the rear of the
residence had had attempted to open the door. They observed the housekeeper and fled the area.
Police responded to the location and obtained a description of the two males, originally described as juveniles.
The suspects were described as follows:
— A white male, blonde hair, very tan, 6’0”, with a red shirt with black writing, black shorts, carrying a skateboard.
— A white male, dark hair, with black shorts, a black T-shirt and a black hat, carrying a skateboard.
Officers responded to the area and set up a perimeter. At approximately 2:35 p.m. police observed two subjects matching the description of the suspects. They were using the off road areas, canyons and culverts to make their way westbound toward El Camino Real. They were detained and were positively identified as the suspects who had cut the screen and had attempted entry into the home. Upon further investigation, they were determined to have committed another residential burglary in the 2900 block of Avenida Circuela.
Property taken from that residence, which included several iPods and jewelry, were found to be in possession of the suspects that had been arrested.
One suspect is a 15-year-old male. The other suspect is 20-year-old David Anthony Bonanza, who was on parole for residential burglary and had a warrant for his arrest for parole violations.

Apparently the 20-year old was not that great a teacher, but will have a chance to perfect his skills 5 yrs or so in prison. Cynical, but in the old days prison was more about reform, education; now it’s a dumping ground.

yeah too bad the 20 yr old has to strikes. he gets another one hes not gettin out. min. for two stikes is 25 to life. get your 3rd your out of the game.
