Program aims to help local youth

VISTA — Vista Community Clinic invites youth from Vista and Oceanside to participate in Project REACH, a free after school program that helps youth stay in school, avoid high-risk behavior and achieve their goals. REACH operates out of community-based sites in the cities of Vista and Oceanside. The programs are comprehensive and age appropriate. Youth receive homework assistance and participate in field trips and cultural activities. It is a fun and safe place to be after school hours and is open for enrollment.
REACH stands for Recreation, Employment readiness, Academic achievement, Communication skills, and Healthy lifestyle choices. Project REACH serves teens ages 12 to 18 years. Parents can call for an information packet and visit the facilities with their children to learn more about the programs. The programs are free to all participants and operate Monday through Friday from 2 to 6 p.m. For more information, contact Program Manager Maria Yanez at (760) 631-5000, ext. 7140, or Jayson Bordges at (760) 631-5000, ext. 7137.
