VISTA — San Diego County Crime Stoppers is joining forces with the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department’s Vista Detectives to help apprehend the suspect responsible for an armed robbery that occurred on Aug. 15 in Vista.
The suspect entered the Subway Restaurant at 1906 Hacienda Drive in Vista at about 8 p.m. He pointed a silver-automatic handgun toward the cashier and said, “Just give it to me. Where are the hundreds?” The clerk gave the suspect about $300 in cash before the suspect fled on foot. No vehicle was scene by any witnesses.
The suspect is also responsible for an armed robbery that occurred Aug. 19 at about 8:15 p.m. at the Submarina located at 3231 Business Park Drive in Vista.
These robberies may be related to the Sunset Robbery Series that have been occurring in Mira Mesa and Rancho Bernardo.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, about 28 years old, 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing 150 pounds with a thin build. He was unshaven with a light complexion. At the time of the robbery he was wearing a short sleeve grey shirt, blue jeans and a white Chargers hat with a lightning bolt on the front.
Detectives are asking anyone with information on the identity of this suspect to call the Crime Stoppers anonymous tip line at (888) 580-8477.
