CARLSBAD — It’s off to the ball park with the Carlsbad Playreaders and San Diego playwright Tim West’s “Cooperstown,” directed by Stephen Metcalfe, at 7:30 p.m. April 13.
The performance takes place at Ruby G. Schulman Auditorium at Carlsbad City Library, 1775 Dove Lane. Donations are taken at the door; there are no advance reservations. Suggested donations are $5 for adults and $1 for students. For more information, visit or call (760) 602-2012.
“Cooperstown” features Tom Andrew as Steve, Amanda Cooley Davis as Beth, Dave Kurner as Pop and Max Oilman-Williams as Michael.
In “Cooperstown,” father and son, a retired ballplayer and a struggling writer, make a difficult but rewarding journey together to the sleepy village in upstate New York and its national baseball shrine.

“Women of Manhattan” May 11, “Greater Tuna” Sept. 14, Lobby Hero Oct. 26 and “Wonder of the World” Dec. 7.
