Patrons meet artists at exhibit

CARLSBAD — A warm spring day brought a fine turnout of art patrons for the opening reception of the Member’s Choice art exhibit hosted by Front Porch Gallery, 2903 Carlsbad Blvd. Artists mingled with guests describing technique, style and vision, to the sounds of guitarist Clay Colton.
The Members Choice is a collection of original artwork by The San Diego Museum of Art- Artist Guild members. The show will run until June 27, and will feature paintings, sculpture, drawings, pottery, photography, jewelry and digital art.
The San Diego Museum of Art-Artists Guild was established in 1915 with a mission to enhance the cultural profile of San Diego County through support of the San Diego Museum of Art. The Guild exhibits and sells artwork through an online gallery at, an annual Fine Art Festival, and other events, with a percentage of each sale going to support The San Diego Museum of Art program acquisition of art for the museum’s permanent collections, and funding for their children programs.
Hours are from noon to 6 p.m. Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. For more information, visit
