The Encinitas Parks and Recreation Commission invites members of the public to participate in a community discussion to be held during the regular Commission meeting at 5 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers, 505 S. Vulcan Ave.

Among the concerns voiced by community members are increased graffiti, vandalism and gang activity at the park as well as late-hour hanging out/drinking/smoking and an increased number of transients. Public input on these and other Leucadia Oaks Park concerns will be received by Parks and Recreation staff.

Residents unable to attend the Community Discussion are welcome to submit their comments, concerns and questions regarding Leucadia Oaks Park by e-mailing Parks and Beach Superintendent John Frenken.
