Sikorski is a retired Marine Corps veteran and grew up in a military family.

“I was a son of a deployed Marine and never forgot some of the difficult times that my mother went through while my dad was deployed. It was a time of worry and anxiety,” he said. “I wanted to make a small difference in a child’s life and for them just to have fun. It’s been a great experience and one that I have received more than I ever gave.”

Sikorski has had five Little Brothers since becoming a Big Brother in February 2007. Winners are chosen based on exemplary ability as a Big Brother or Big Sister, excellence as a Big Brothers Big Sisters representative and public spokesperson, articulate in the BBBS mission and goals and demonstrated relationship and positive outcomes in the development of the Little.
