Ocean documentary on Del Mar TV

DEL MAR — In September, the San Diego Oceans Foundation held its California Coastal Cleanup Day in San Diego Harbor and created a television program, as both organizations celebrated their 25th year. The program, “Caring for our Valuable Oceans” captures many of the volunteers and focuses on Eugene “Rod” Roddenberry, a passionate advocate for the oceans and founder of the Roddenberry Dive Team with Executive Director & Dive Master, Greg Martin.
“Caring For Our Valuable Oceans” is airing on Del Mar TV on Time Warner Cable Channel 130 in the North County and Streaming at www.delmartv.com Click on “Watch it Now” starting Dec. 12, on Saturdays from 5 to 5:30 p.m. and Sundays from 8 to 8:30 p.m. It will also be shown on TW South, Channel 19 and KOCT in Oceanside.
Del Mar Television Community TV Producer Stephanie Sullivan oversaw the creation of the 30-minute documentary.
“My passion and hobby is to help others and provide community support to nonprofit organizations who are making the difference and doing wonderful things in the community,” she said.
Sullivan was pleased to get videographer John Lemieux, and again used two Canyon Crest High School students, Francesca Carter and Dillon Stockham, who just recently started their own production company, Clear Glass Productions, through the Del Mar Television Foundation.
Music and lyrics for the song “Ocean Blue” were created by Don Swanson of The Retro Rocketts Band. Swanson donated his time and musical talents to benefit the San Diego Oceans Foundation.
