ENCINITAS — The city of Encinitas will be holding a Downtown Business Meeting at 9 a.m.on May 8 in the Poinsettia Room at Encinitas City Hall. This meeting will discuss plans to replace deteriorating 60-year-old sewers along 2nd, 3rd, and C Streets in downtown Encinitas. Construction is tentatively scheduled to begin Sept. 4, and will continue for approximately 10 to 12 months. The city’s goal is to minimize the impact on local business. The city has invited downtown merchants and Encinitas residents to attend the meeting to learn about these improvements and see exhibits showing the layout of the new sewer line.
