Mom and Me tea makes etiquette fun

DEL MAR — The Del Mar Foundation Children’s Committee invites the public to Mom & Me: A Tea by the Sea!, designed to teach children about manners and etiquette in an enjoyable way that includes craft activities, song, storytelling, and, of course, tea and refreshments.
The tea will take place at 2 p.m. May 2 on the poolside patio at the Del Mar Hilton, 15575 Jimmy Durante Blvd. Dress is “Sunday best” and tickets are $30 for children under 12, and $42 for adults. Valet parking will be available for $5.

To register, visit www.delmarfoundation.org by April 28. Advance registration is required; ticket sales are final. The tea will focus on manners and etiquette, taught by Nicole MacIntosh of La Bonne Vie.
Whether you bring your children, or your grandchildren, nieces or nephews, or other special children in your life, from the moment you’re seated and the afternoon tea bell rings, you can appreciate how Nicole of La Bonne Vie leads the children through the etiquette of a tea, learning about “table talk” and manners, and savoring the special refreshments and tea service carefully planned for the group by the Del Mar Hilton.
