ENCINITAS — Gerard A. Kelly, 80, who had been missing from his Encinitas home since mid-February, has been found safe at an Oceanside hospital.
According to a Sheriff’s Department press release, Kelly was located on March 24, when a Sheriff’s detective making calls to local hospitals received a positive response. Tri-City Medical Center in Oceanside confirmed to the detective they had a patient matching Kelly’s description.
The press release said that Tri-City Medical Center staff reported Kelly was admitted on Feb. 15 under a different name.
He is being treated for an undisclosed medical condition.
