Lyn-z Adams Hawkins became the first female in the history of skateboarding to land a McTwist while skating at the Quiksilver Tony Hawk show Nov. 19 in Paris, France.
At X Games 15, Adams failed the trick and so made it her goal to secure the McTwist in competition. In 2009, Adams won both the X Games gold medal and the first-ever ISF World Championship title in women’s vert.
