McCutcheon to perform in Encinitas

ENCINITAS — Grammy-nominated folk songwriter John McCutcheon will perform April 1 at 7:30 p.m. at the San Dieguito United Methodist Church.

Admission is $18 for members and $22 standard. Students with school I.D. receive the member price, and youth ages 12 and under are free.

Tickets are available at the door or online.

McCutcheon has been nominated for six Grammy Awards over his 36-album career, and his songwriting has been hailed by critics around the world- his song “Christmas in the Trenches” is considered a classic and was recently named one of Folk Alley’s 100 Essential Folk Songs.

The performance is presented by San Diego Folk Heritage, an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and promoting the folk arts in Southern California.
