One of the Knaves March 17, 2012 at 9:30 pm

Maid Mary! You mustn’t apply the rules meant for the common knaves to the royalty who control the kingdom, lest you feel the sting of the lash, or worse, the scornful words of the king himself!

Thanks, Mary. Wonderful to see your editorial cartoons being published in the Opinion Section of the Coast News! Mayor Jerome Stocks has shown himself to be inconsistent and a full blown bully! The flag should have been allowed to be flown at half mast for Maggie Houlihan. The Art Banners should have been allowed to have her posthumous likeness on their reverse sides. Maggie is no longer a political figure, but she is a symbol of love and dedication to the many people who were aware of her efforts to help our community, who elected her, repeatedly, with more votes than any other candidate running for Council. It’s very telling that Stocks newly proposed policy change for selecting our mayor never came into play when Maggie was on Council, for Jerome would never have been able to be mayor under his own rules! What a farce!
