ENCINITAS — Mark Steven Richardson, 5, died on Oct. 27, 2010. Mark was born Nov. 1, 2005 and was a student at La Costa Heights Elementary School in Liz Kuttler’s special education class. He had also attended Flora Vista Elementary School. He is survived by his father Mark Richardson and is mourned by close friends Jodie and Chris Dinsmore and family, the staff at both elementary schools and everyone who knew him.
A funeral mass was held at St. John’s Catholic Church Nov. 11 and the church donated the burial plot at Eternal Hills Mortuary. Mark was a regular at Legoland California and the staff there has planned a special memorial for him, as well.
“Mark was an extraordinary and loving child. He just radiated joy and grabbed the heart of everyone he met,” said Instructional Aide Robin Solomon. “He simply loved life and made an amazing impact for someone so young.”
“He was full of life and full of love. He was an energetic, enthusiastic, compassionate child who always went out of his way to help others,” said Instructional Aide Katie Parauka.
