RANCHO SANTA FE — The Rancho Santa Fe Art Guild’s “A Finer Art Affaire ‘08” Sept. 7 was a success with the help of Kids Korps students as Art Ambassadors.
This was a new feature for the guild, designed to help the artists as well as give the students an opportunity to see what it takes to put on an art event, learn about the artist’s works and their displays. Tasks included unloading, set-up, booth sitting, and park maintenance. They were also given the task of welcoming the artist by visiting each booth with red wagons filled with water bottles and signing up the artist for a booth sitting reservation. As thanks for a job well done and community service credit, the youngsters were awarded official ‘Art Ambassador Badges’ and certificates of appreciation.
