Hurricane Earl headed toward East Coast

The Associated Press reports that federal officials are urging U.S. residents to prepare for possible evacuations due Hurricane Earl, which is being labeled a Category 4.
Hurricane Earl is headed toward the East Coast and could potentially reach North Carolina by late Thursday or early Friday.
On Aug. 30, roofs of homes were torn off and electricity was cut to people in Anguilla, Antigua and St. Maarten. The Associated Press also reports cruise ships were diverted and flights were cancelled around the region.
Nearly 187,000 people in Puerto Rico were reportedly without power and another 60,000 without water according to Gov. Luis Fortuno.
No injury or death has been reported.
