Holiday fun at Calavera Hills Community Center

CARLSBAD — Don’t make your child hang around being bored at home when you need to get ready for the holidays. Youngsters will have creative fun while parents get some shopping or holiday prep done, with a little help from Carlsbad’s park and recreation department.Area residents are invited to drop off the youngsters at Calavera Hills Community Center Carlsbad on both Nov. 24 and Dec. 15. While there, youngsters will play games, make holiday gifts and even create their own toy in a safe atmosphere, giving parents free time during this busy time of year.

Sign your children up now for a full day from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. or a half-day from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. or noon to 4 p.m. Full days are $40 for Carlsbad residents and $50 for non-residents. Half days are $25 for residents and $35 for non-residents. Register at Calavera Hills Community Center, 2997 Glasgow Drive or by visiting class.carlsbadca.gov.
