Historical Society seeks volunteers

SAN MARCOS — The San Marcos Historical Society is looking for volunteers who are interested in serving as docents and tour guides at the Museum on San Marcos Boulevard, or at Heritage Park located in Walnut Grove Park in San Marcos. Docent training is available, including information about the history of San Marcos, historical families in the community and information on museum displays. Volunteers are also needed to help inventory the museum collections in preparation for relocation later this year. Interested persons can contact Tanis Brown by e-mail at, or call the San Marcos Museum at (760) 744-9025.
