HELPING OUT

Shadowridge Rotary member Debbie King welcomes daughter Alison King and Rachel Forseth of the nonprofit ONEkind Foundation. The pair spoke to the Shadowridge Vista Rotary Club offering a slideshow of their foundation’s goals and accomplishments. The recent Rancho Buena Vista High School graduates organized a Walk-a-thon last year that raised $20,000 to help sponsor school children in war-torn Uganda. The group believes that education is the key to change and that the youth can make a difference in their local and global communities. The organization expects to raise $25,000 in its Walk-a-thon later this year, to sponsor school children in Cambodia. For more information, e-mail onekindfoundation@gmail.com. Courtesy photo
