Helping out Haiti

CARLSBAD — A Hope for Children of Haiti event was hosted Jan. 30 by Pink Elephants Nannies at the Grand Pacific Palisades Resort in Carlsbad.
The event raised just more than $3,000 dollars, which will all be donated to the American Red Cross. There were more than 40 silent auction items and more than 50 raffle items at the event.
The community came together for this effort, offering their goods and services. Jennifer West did caricatures and facepainting, Mobile Photo Booth provided a photo booth, Daniel Knighton of Pixel Perfect Images offered his photography services, DJ Aesthetix provided the music, Karl Strauss donated the beer, Pat and Oscars donated breadsticks, Boston’s Gourmet Pizza donated pasta, Kate and Kaylies Confections did the desserts, and coffee was provided by Rick and Shana Frey of RS Health Solutions.
There was also a fashion show with clothing provided by Henning Boutique in Solana Beach.

I had an opportunity to attend the event last minute and I was very impressed with the organization of the function. I am told that the company that coordinated the event, Pink Elephant Nannies, is a local company that provides on call Nanny services for famalies that need trust worthy individuals to care for their children. If the event was any indication of the level of professionalism they offer I am sure that the company affords the same level of expertise. I will definatley make a point of supporting the next Pink Elephants Nannies event and recommend that people who wish to help others in need, especially the children of the world, do the same. Thanks to Ms. Chamberlin for her efforts and caring and good luck with your company.

Respectfully,

Josh

Katelyn Chamberlin was the one who thought of putting the event together and worked so hard making sure everyone had an amazing time. Her efforts in her business, Pink Elephants nannies, and in helping others is incredible. Thank you to everyone who came to the event and donated! I for one am looking forward to Pink Elephants next charity event!

Katelyn and the entire Chamberlin family worked so hard on this event and it was truly wonderful to see the passion of all these 20 something year old “kids” come together for such a great cause! I can attest to the love and caring that went into this event. Thank you all!
Also Kaylie & Kate the cupcakes were a dream!
