ENCINITAS — Support your friends and neighbors by shopping locally this holiday season. The Downtown Encinitas Merchants Association and The Lumberyard shopping center, 937 S. Coast Highway 101, are making this easier with “L8 Nite Thursdays” shopping, complete with Santa Claus. The special festive evenings will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Dec. 8, Dec. 15 and Dec. 22.
On these special nights during the holiday season, more than 35 stores will stay open late, offering discounts and treats, live music, carolers and Santa Claus in the Center Courtyard of the Lumberyard
Come to downtown Encinitas and visit Santa at the Center Courtyard of the Lumberyard. He will be checking if you have been naughty or nice from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
“L8 Nite Thursdays” was organized by DEMA in order to promote holiday shopping in the downtown district as well as to provide a safe late-night atmosphere. DEMA reminds shoppers that for every $100 spent at local small businesses, $68 returns to the community.
