Group works to create life pathways

COAST CITIES — Matt Winkley, founder of New Pathways, has announced a new program, the New Pathways dog-walking service.
The goal is to provide quality care and exercise for dogs and pets while providing meaningful jobs for young adults with developmental disabilities. They are hoping that people will choose their services because they can provide a consistent and reliable companion to come and exercise and socialize with their dog on a weekly basis.
Winkley believes the young adults can have beautiful homes, meaningful employment, wonderful social lives and experience healthy relationships. “Every individual will be valued and respected in their contributions to the community,” Winkley said.
New Pathways provides a variety of programs for adults with developmental disabilities including residential support programs, job development, fitness and exercise programs, and life skills training. New Pathways has a mission to support people living with disabilities to have equal opportunity to the “American Dream.”
