SAN MARCOS — Biggs Harley-Davidson & Buell will host the Harley Heroes Mobile Service Office from 1 to 6 p.m. Nov. 1 at its dealership at 717 Center Drive.
Many veterans have injuries that go untreated or are uncompensated because they do not understand how to work with the Department of Veterans Affairs. The mission of Harley’s Heroes, made possible with the help of a $1 million grant from the Harley-Davidson Foundation to Disabled American Veterans, is to provide assistance in obtaining benefits from the Veterans Administration. Military veterans can receive free counseling and assistance to better understand their rights and acquire straight answers about benefits. Participants are asked to bring any pertinent documentation to the event.
