Girl reports being followed by two men

CARLSBAD — A 13-year-old girl who was walking her dog around 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 29 in the 5100 block of Frost Avenue in Carlsbad told police she observed a black full sized pick up following her. She reported she became nervous, and began to walk a little faster. The truck also sped up, at which time the victim began to run. The passenger in the vehicle then exited and began chasing after the victim.

The passenger was described by the victim as a Hispanic male in his early 40s, 5 feet 2 inches tall, with a thin build and black or brown braided hair. He was wearing a black baseball hat, black T-shirt and blue jeans. He had a slight accent when he spoke rapidly and his voice was a low pitch.
