Fourth of July road closure in Solana Beach

SOLANA BEACH — The city of Solana Beach will be working with the Sheriff’s department to initiate a road closure for a safe and orderly viewing of the Fourth of July fireworks. Solana Circle will be closed to traffic from 8 p.m. to approximately 10 p.m.
Local neighborhoods have been impacted in the past by traffic that passes the Solana Circle area during the fireworks displays that take place at the Del Mar Fairgrounds. The intersections of Via de la Valle and Solana Circle as well as Nardo Avenue and Solana Circle will be closed starting at approximately 8 p.m. These intersections will reopen at approximately 10 p.m.
Residents who live on east and west Solana Circle are asked for their cooperation during this time. Residents are advised to make advance plans if they must utilize vehicles during that time. No vehicles will be allowed to access Solana Circle, or attached driveways after the closure, until streets are officially reopened. All through traffic will be routed around the affected intersections. Emergency vehicles will continue to have full access.
