Former Chargers pro bowler to sign bottles of Legacy

CARLSBAD – Former Chargers Pro Bowl running back Chuck Muncie will be signing bottles of the new Chargers Legacy Cabernet Sauvignon Sept. 12 from 3 to 5 p.m. at Albertsons.
Muncie spent nine years in the NFL, including five seasons with the Chargers from 1980 to 1984. Over his career, Muncie gained over 6,700 yards and scored 71 touchdowns with both the Chargers and the New Orleans Saints. Muncie’s time in the NFL was eventually cut short due to drug abuse. Muncie, after spending some time in jail, was able to get sober and began to help mentor youth through a variety of programs.
To celebrate 50 years of Chargers football in San Diego, the Chargers, with Bell Wine Cellars of Napa Valley have introduced a limited edition wine called Chargers Legacy. The wine is a 2008 vintage Cabernet Sauvignon.
Albertsons is at 7660 El Camino Real.
