CARLSBAD — Carlsbad Village got flurries of snow and a sprinkling of holiday cheer as holiday window painting began Nov. 15.
The village is planning a lineup of holiday activities. On Nov. 27 the Carlsbad Village Association will pass out goody bags with coupons and gift certificates from member businesses at all holiday events and at the Farmers’ Market. For more bargains, don’t miss Thursdays on the Coast market, Black Friday edition, Nov. 27. Shoppers are also invited to pick up programs and enjoy a walk beginning at New Village Arts Theatre, 2787 State St., Nov. 27 through Nov. 29.
Pups on Parade will kick off from 9 a.m. to noon Dec. 6 at The Shops at Village Faire at Carlsbad Village Drive and Carlsbad Boulevard. This annual event starts the day with individual photos with Santa from 9 a.m. to noon plus a group shot with Santa at the Community Christmas tree. The Puppy Parade will begin at 12:15 p.m. at The Shops at Village Faire and circle Carlsbad Boulevard, Grand Avenue, State Street and Carlsbad Village Drive.
A day full of entertainment and treats from 2 p.m. to dusk will be capped off by the lighting of the Rotary Tree Lighting ceremony Dec. 6 at The Shops at Village Faire.
Jingle Bell Shop will be held Dec.19 and Dec. 20 all over the village of Carlsbad

The holidays will round up with a Thursdays on the Coast — New Year’s Eve Edition Dec. 31, where participants can end a great year with a stroll through the streets of Carlsbad Village. Enjoy the fine art, live music and tasty treats. Pick up your programs and begin the walk at New Village Arts Theatre, 2787 State St.
During the holidays, the Carlsbad Village Farmers’ Market continues every Wednesday and Saturday from 1 to 5 p.m. at 2930 Roosevelt Street Parking Lot at Grand Avenue. During the months of November and December, special market events will include a coat and blanket drive Nov. 28, a food drive Dec. 5, a blood drive Dec. 12 and a visit from Santa on Dec. 19.
