CARLSBAD — Motorists will continue to hit delays along Rancho Santa Fe Road in November due to temporary traffic controls that are part of the ongoing construction of Phase III and Phase IV of the Rancho Santa Fe /Olivenhain Road widening project.
Delays will affect Rancho Santa Fe Road, Camino Alvaro and Olivenhain Road. The traffic control devices are anticipated to remain in place for several weeks until the median improvements are complete.
The construction schedule shows:
— Prior to the week of Nov. 11, the contractor is expected to complete construction of the median curbs.
— Paving of the lanes adjacent to the median is anticipated to occur the week of Nov. 11.
— Phase IV activities will occur between the week of Nov. 11 and the anticipated completion date of December 2008.
— Phase IV activities include installation of landscaping and irrigation in the medians and parkways, cap or finish paving, relocation of the northerly Rancho Santa Fe Road right turn lane curb east of the intersection with Olivenhain Road, and road striping.
This anticipated schedule is based upon no rain delays or other unforeseen schedule delays. For more information, contact Project Manager John Maashoff at (760) 602-2780, ext. 7307.
