The culinary team at The Grand Del Mar has created experiences starring its chefs, mixologists and wine director.
Things kick off with Summer Sins and Saints 4 to 6 p.m. Aug. 14, in the Lobby Lounge, 5300 Grand Del Mar Court. Put your summer on ice with the help of mixologists Jonathan Camacho and Humberto Ramirez, as well as Wine Director Jesse Rodriguez. Learn how to shake up chilled cocktails, such as herb-infused and tropical fruit mojitos, as well as Jesse’s nonalcoholic concoctions, including an alcohol-free take on Red Burgundy using Navarro Pinot Noir juice with rhubarb, vanilla and nutmeg. Cost is $25 per person.

Tastings on the Terrace begin in 6 to 7 p.m. in September. Celebrate California Wine Month on the terrace of Addison’s Le Salon, as Wine Director Jesse Rodriguez shares premium pours from the Golden State. Sept. 1 will be Chardonnay; Sept. 8 will be Pinot Noir; Sept. 15 will be Syrah; Sept. 22 will be Red Wine Blends; and Sept. 29 will be Cabernet Sauvignon. Cost is $20 per person.
Kimberly Jones Selections Wine Dinner will be held at Amaya 5:30 to 10 p.m. Sept. 17.
Rodriguez invites Master Sommelier Chris Blanchard to share wines from Kimberly Jones Selections including Napa Valley’s top-rated Cabernet Sauvignon producers. Four-course dinner with wine pairings will be $70 per person, exclusive of tax and gratuity.
Harvest Season Stars wines at Addison will be featured from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 13. As the weather cools, wine lovers reach for rich, hearty reds such as Syrah- or Cabernet-based blends. These and also richer white wines from Burgundy will get center attention for $75 per person.
