ESCONDIDO — The Escondido Police Department is asking for public assistance in locating a sex offender who failed to update his registration.
John Patrick Butler, 55, is wanted on a felony warrant for failing to register. He is white, 5-foot-8, 200 pounds, with blond hair and blue eyes. He also has a tattoo on his left forearm of moons and stars plus a Merlin wizard tattoo on his right forearm.
Anyone with information about Butler’s whereabouts are urged to call EPD at (760) 839-4722 or anonymously at (760) 743-8477.
