Doctor displays student art

CARMEL VALLEY — The Torrey Pines High School art department will hold a class show, “Art Matters,” sponsored by Dr. Tosun Bayrak, of Chiropractic Center of Carmel Valley. Eleven young artists are showcasing their innovative works in the lobby of his Chiropractic Center of Carmel Valley at 12750 Carmel Country Road.An opening event for the show will be at 6 p.m. Dec.19. Refreshments will be served and the public is welcome. More information and a flyer on the group show can be found at carmelvalleychiropractor.come. This show is presented by Torrey Pines High School art teacher Julie Limerick, and Visual and Performing Arts Co-Chairwoman along with Bayrak.

The artists are addressing various and unique combinations of formal elements of art & design by interpreting a single concept. Torrey Pines students include Emily Morgan, Emma Ferchand Parella, Maggie Zhang, Kathy Li, Caroline Olson, Judy Kim, Megan Lenehan, Andrew Kim, Francesca Oldham, Alice Lumetta, Laura Black and Caroline Olson,
